No problem. Now we're getting somewhere. If you don't mind discussing this in a dispassionate way. To me, both films are probably the best example of a heist film. Granted, characters from each die at the end. But both were criminals to begin with. Certainly, Sterling Hayden's in Asphalt Jungle was a criminal. A better case could be made for The Killers but I don't think it passes my noir test. (I have it right here and will watch it again tomorrow.) But the Asphalt Jungle is a crime film, pure and simple. Both, by the way, are fabulous movies, no mistake about it.
