This is my fifth by Gores. It was fun but lightweight
compared to what I was hoping for. His Interface is
spectacular, and even though its short stories origin is
telling, Cases is excellent too. Both concentrate on a dark
and intense experience with a struggling central character.
Instead of this, Contract Null and Void is less serious,
leaning more towards humor and the absurd, with a bunch of
characters, none particularly at the front. It's my first
experience with his Dan Kearny Associates series.
I've read a couple others by him, too, Dead Man and Come
Morning, neither which I liked as much as Cases and
Interface.
