Just finished this. Sports noir, I guess. It's about a
washed-up football player turning to crime to stay in the
fast lane. Told first person by the player. Good humor but
the nonchalance robbed the intensity somewhat. The ending
didn't seem right. He acted in a manner out of line with his
character. The whole book felt more like a movie.
The author has a PI series out, but there's a lot of other
authors out there that I need to read.
