Just heard that Glenn Ford passed away at 90.
That's a pretty good long run, but he'll still be
missed.
Those of us on this list will recall him in such noir cop
films as THE UNDERCOVER MAN, THE BIG HEAT, and EXPERIMENT IN
TERROR. He also played what we might think of as the "Fred
MacMurray/John Garfield" part in such "pseudo-Cain" noirs as
GILDA and HUMAN DESIRE, and David Dodge's Mexico-based PI, Al
Colby, in PLUNDER OF THE SUN. He also played a rural sheriff
in the contemporary Southwest in CADE'S COUNTY, which, though
set in moder times, recalled the many westerns he'd starred
in over the years. His last appearance was as a snapshot on
Eva Marie Saint's mantel in SUPERMAN RETURNS.
Thanks for all the entertainment, Mr. Ford.
