Speaking of MARKHAM, Block's TV-tie in, he originally
intended DEATH PULLS A DOUBLECROSS to be that book. However,
it turned out so well that he and his agent decided to try to
sell it to Gold Medal instead, with Markham's name changed to
Ed London. Then Block wrote a different book that was
published as MARKHAM. So he really did two tie-ins for the
same show.
