I read in The Guardian that the Red Shift Theater Co. will be
staging a production of Get Carter at the Edinburgh Fringe
Festival Aug. 24.
"Red Shift's brilliantly gritty dissection of the cult 1970s
revenge movie, set in the seedy underbelly of northern
England, is not celebration of retro but the real thing. Very
nasty and very good." (The Guardian, 13.07.06)
Note they don't mention the book. On the company's Web site
there's an article "Why Do Get Cater on Stage?" Unfortunately
it's in 8 pt white on black. Be prepared to apply your zoom
feature and suffer bad line breaks.
