Dortmunder and Parker fans rejoice: July 12th marks the 73rd birthday of Donald Westlake and his many (is it nine?) pseudonyms. An MWA Grand Master, he is an Edgar winner (1968) for Best Novel (_God Save the Mark_), Best Short Story, 1990 ("Too Many Crooks"), and Best Motion Picture ("The Grifters," 1991). He also received an Oscar nomination for Best Screenplay for "The Grifters."

_Lemons Never Lie_ (writing as Richard Stark), go to: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/07/09/AR2006070900681.html

And Maggie Topkis of Felony & Mayhem Press is reprinting Westlake's Samuel Holt books (_I Know a Trick Worth Two of That_, etc.): http://www.felonyandmayhem.com/pages/ComingSoon_27Feb06.html
