noir, but--
In *The Crying Game* I felt the truth from early on.
In the sixties I had a friend who told the story about how he
went out with this gorgeious woman, had anal intercourse then
discovered he/she was a man;
1. I am not totally sure if I believed his whole story, but
it might have been because he telegraphed it by how he set it
up.
2. That's conjecture, but the other point is that he was not
the smartest guy I ever met.
It seems to me that if I got as close as he did, I would have
been able to figure it out before considering sex.
