Yesterday, I ran across a few books that I thought about
buying. I was wondering if anyone has read any of them and
can help me decide whether or not I should go back and get
them:
Raymond Chandler on Screen: His Novels into Film, by Stephen
Prado, Scarecrow Press, 1976.
Dashiell Hammett by Dennis Dooley, Frederick Ungar, 1985 --
it looks like this is in the same series as Sons of Sam Spade
and a book I have on Ross Macdonald.
How to Enjoy Mysteries (or a Mystery, forget which) -- this
appeared to be one of a series of "How to Enjoy . . ." books,
It was published in 1945, which leads me to be it mostly
focuses on traditional mysteries, but Hammett was in the
index.
