Maybe, but within that time frame (or shortly thereafter),
beside those already mentioned, we saw the introduction of
Matt Scudder, Spenser, Amos Walker, Jim Rockford, Harry O,
Shaft, Dave Brandstetter, Marsh Tanner, the DKA guys, Jacob
Asch, Harry Stoner, Anna Lee, Milo Milodragovitch, C.W.
Sughrue and a slew of others, making the seventies and early
eighties, arguably the Golden Age of P.I. fiction.
