I think spoilers are acceptable here if they are flagged. I
want to hear some opinions on the ending of THE
DRAMATIST:
SPOILER WARNING...

. [SPOILER!!!]
Taylor obviously blames himself for Serena May's death, as he
should, but I don't know if he is really culpable. Taylor
opened the window, and turned his back for an instance, but I
think there is a problem with how Serena May's is able to get
out of her own window. When my daughter was 3, and we lived
on a second floor apartment, the only windows she could reach
had safety bars installed. In Serena May's case I really
think her parents are to blame. Since I blame the parents,
the next question is: did they not fix the obvious safety
issue because secretly they wanted her to die? I don't really
think the answer is in the text, but I wonder if I am totally
off base in suspecting the parents of providing a less safe
environment for her because she was a downs child.
