In the last few weeks, I've read Bordersnakes and The Mexican
Tree Duck, in that order (backwards, but I have a bad habit
of that sort of thing). I always end up not understanding key
elements of mysteries -- not just with Crumley's novels, but
in general. Guess I'm not good at paying attention.
Anyway, if anyone remembers these books well enough to answer
my questions, could you either answer here, or email me
(
azureus@harborside.com)? I'd appreciate it.
These questions might be spoilers for folks who haven't read
the books. You've been warned!

1. I know Milo's mystery and Sughrue's mystery are supposed
to be connected, but I didn't get the connection. 2. The guys
who shoot Sughrue in the gut: who hired them to try to kill
Sughrue? 3. In The Mexican Tree Duck, I take it Solly wanted
Sughrue to find Sarita, but why? Since the DEA controls
Solly, do they want Sarita for some reason?
Thanks,
Doug
