RARA-AVIS: Journalists

Rambler Murphy if Fred MacIsaac's pulp stories was a journalist. The stories appeard in Dime Detective in 1993-1940. Someone could issue a collection of these.

Samuel Fuller's novel THE DARK PAGE and Richard Brooks's film from the novel feature journalist heroes (I seem to forget, if the hero is an editor-in- chief).

Do Judson Philips's aka Hugh Pentecost's novel about columnist Peter Styles count? They are not hardboiled nor noir, but come close (soft-boiled? two- minute eggs?).

FWIW, in Donald Hamilton's hardboiled Western novel, THE MAN FROM SANTA CLARA
(1960), the hero is a photographer.
