Jack Black wrote a book? Is it the novelization of the upcoming Tenacious D movie?

Bad joke aside, I have read You Can't Win. It's a turn of the 20th century memoir about the criminal underworld -- hobo jungles, short cons, pickpockets, whores, etc. It's an engaging read once you get used to the dime novel diction, which can seem a bit stilted to more modern ears, well, at least these modern ears. And it's easy to see its influence on Burroughs, especially in the colorful character names.
