  I'm a little slow on the uptake here, however Sarah and Duane are right on regarding both Bowker (Rawhead is great) and Huston. Huston is not to be missed. One has to wonder why he doesn't get much press.

Both are excellent writers -- Bowker keeps the balance between nasty violence and dark humor very well (especially in the two Rawhead books, THE DEATH YOU DESERVE and I LOVE MY SMITH AND WESSON) and Huston's books are about as pure noir thriller as you can get.
