I'm not quite sure where this comes from, but I wear neither suits nor skirts. I'm sorry that I've set something in motion that seems to be bothering you Vicki. What I recall is an amusing incident that, given circumstances, would not stick in your mind as it has in mine, and an enjoyable book.

Also, Jack wrote that he's more a HB fan than a noir fan. Please say it ain't so Jack. Not from the man who gave us such a perfect, succinct definition. There is, however, something noirish about this scenario.

And since we're on that track, there is a difference, I think, between being the author of one's own troubles (tragedy) and doomed by fate (noir.) Not that it should stop any of us from enjoying a good screwing.
