Just reading DRAMA CITY. I always like Pelecanos - the
dialogue is a bit impenetrable to those of us in the UK (as
always <g>) but the
"life" comes across very movingly. And a friend of mine in
USP Terre Haute, who comes from thereabouts, tells me it's
all pretty authentic. Question: was it somebody here who said
that Pelecanos is having to stop writing these because of
some disagreement with publishers about their darkness? Can't
remember the details.
