I'm writing this to myself--I guess that works. I would like
to compile a list of everyone's favorite noir novels because
I feel I haven't read enough. It
would be great if everyone participating would send me
some titles and authors. I don't care if the books are in or
out of print, but I'd love to see what people enjoy and add
to my own collection with the ones I've missed. I suppose
there is a list of "noir favorites" somewhere, but I'd like
to see what an informal survey would bring up. If anyone has
the time to think about it for a few minutes, I'd love to
