RARA-AVIS: Christian motifs in Kirino's OUT

Gail asked about OUT:
Unfortunately my local library doesn't have it. Any input is appreciated!

************ I think it's excellent, Gail, but that doesn't mean you will like it. It's very dark, and if you like novels where at the end the sun comes out and the protagonist prevails gloriously, you will be disappointed. Sexual discrimination is a major theme, but it's well woven into the story. You don't have to deal with any self-righteous lectures that deviate from the plot.

I would also also ask those who have read OUT if they caught any Christian motifs between Satake and his prey? I did. I've read a ton of comments on OUT, but no one has mentioned it. Is it just my imagination, or is it a tip of the hat to Flannery O'Connor?
