Maybe it just means he had a try at doing a screenplay but it
didn't work. Hopefully his books will be adapted at some
point -- I think they'd make great movies.
Incidentally, while I don't agree with everything the guy
says, Hunter is a wonderful movie critic -- easily my
favorite mainstream critic.
And on a related note, I understand the new Bruce Willis
movie (opening Feb. 2005, I think) has a screenplay by Robert
Crais. I am no Crais fan, but will probably check this out,
for curiousity's sake.
