I saw last night Michael Mann's "Collateral". I hope everyone
here will see it. One of the best noir films in the last few
years and surely one that fits the word most perfectly:
bleak, relentless, utterly pessimistic. Strongly influenced
by Melville's "Le Samoura鈴uot;, but watched from the other
side. Tom Cruise is brilliant as the assassin. How could I
hate this guy in the eighties and early nineties? He must not
be laughed at anymore!
