Miker:
"I don't recall much humor at all in Goodis's book. It was
intense and excellent, though."
I was talking about the film Truffaut made from the film in
1960. It is a spoof, almost a parody at times, of the films
noir and gangster cliches, and yet Truffaut manages to
deliver the angst and sadness that goes together with
Goodis.
