I'm one of those who prefers the Hammett style to the
Chandler. This isn't to say I dislike Chandler, just that I
prefer Hammett.
I mention this because my impression, speaking as a
particular Hammett fan, is that Chandlerians FAR outnumber
Hammettians (can we think of something else to call them if
this thread continues?), particularly in the PI field.
