While I've enjoyed a number of his Heller novels, I'd have to
say my favorite books of his are the Quarry books, a series
of four or five novels and two short-story collections about
a hitman that are, if memory serves, very much in the vein of
Lawrence Block's recent Keller books (which I also
enjoyed).
