I'm about three-fourths of the way through LADY IN DREAD, a
1955 Gold Medal by Ryerson Johnson. It's an okay yarn about
an undercover federal agent on the trail of a hijacked load
of opium in a Midwestern town where the Chicago mob is trying
to muscle in on the local gangsters. Not a great book but
fast-paced and worth reading.
