One other thing about Larry Block's signings: physical
transformation. The guy goes through the most amazing changes
in his appearance from year to year. I've seen him look as
tough as a bull dog, as haggard as a salesman, and as
professorial as Cuthbert Calculus. A few years back the New
York Observer did an article about it and featured photos
from his dust jackets over the years. Carlos the Jackal
hasn't worn as many disguises.
