Recently I finally got around to 'Train,' Pete Dexter's superlative noir about the strange eventful tragedy of a negro caddie in postwar LA.
 A wonderful piece, filled with cruel mystery.

On an unrelated topic, pulp fans check out hardcasecrime.com, a new imprint that is working to revive wonderfully torrid cover art.
