Yes, RED HARVEST was published in four parts in 1927 and 1928 in BLACK MASK. It was called "The Cleansing of Poisonville" by editor Cap Shaw, but Hammett refered to is simply as "Poisonville." It was not called RED HARVEST until its publication as a novel in 1929.

THE DAIN CURSE was published in four parts in BLACK MASK (in 1928 and 1929).

Both were revised for their book publication.
