which confirm the exploding cars & women thing (and
explain why Corman added them), as well as pointing out the
Corman had to add actual cockfighting footage as well, since
Hellman was too repelled to film any of it.
In a typical Willeford moment of irony, there is a scene in
SHARK- INFESTED CUSTARD where the four main characters are
discussing how much they liked Warren Oates in Hellman's
TWO-LANE BLACKTOP.
