******** Thanks, Bill. I've never heard of Cable. And Ed mentioning McCullers and Capote was an eye-opener, too, as far as continuing the Southern Gothic tradition. That makes me think of a collection of Tennessee Williams short stories that I read a long time ago. I can't recall if they were Southern or not.
