Re: RARA-AVIS: Noir and its definitions

While we're back on the subject of definitions, I'd like to have a go at the world record for the shortest.

Both hardboiled and noir can be described by their first two letters. The hardboiled protagonist, when placed in a life-threatening situation, responds "Ha! Is that the best you've got?" whilst the noir protagonist begs, "No, please don't shoot me mother."

Thus: Hardboiled = Ha! Noir = No!
