I'm not even sure the Lone Wolf is obsolete. I spent hours and hours a few years ago interviewing Clyde Wilson, who's a legend in Houston and all over Texas, about his career. The idea was to do a book based on a few of his cases. So far, no takers. (One publisher said, "I can't afford the lawsuits.") Among other things, Wilson nabbed a serial killer, worked the Donald/Ivana Trump Divorce, and cleaned up an East Texas county single-handedly.
