I'm sure it's just an oversight (unless he's been nominated
& I've missed it) so I guess someone has to do it : Nick
Corey (POP 1280 - Jim Thompson). One of my all-time top
favourite characters in ANY genre. Also, I'd like to nominate
Perdita Durango & Romeo (? - her lover) from the Barry
Gifford book the name of which escapes me but was made into a
film titled PERDITA (IIRC). (The film was savaged by local
critics & probably others but I liked it.I found it to be
close to the book, if memory serves). If someone could help
with the title & Perdita's lover's name, I'd appreciate
it. Otherwise, time for a trawling expedition through my
book-jungle.
