RARA-AVIS: Ironweed

I've only seen the movie, which I think is almost overwhelmed by wonderful acting in striking scenes. Somehow the plot just hasn't stuck. Which means the book is on my must-read list, though that list has become so big I fear it's lost its purpose. Kerry...................................................................

The movie is a good adaption of the book, it doesn't touch the book though. Ironweed is one of the best books out there and a Pulitzer winner. Ironweed is the third and last of Kennedy's Albany novels and it meets all hardboiled and noir definitions I can think of. Worthy of putting at the top of a Books to read stack.
I haven't read Roscoe yet but I will get to it I'm sure. Kennedy is an outstanding author.
