I was going to comment on the movie of "Cockfighter" but when
I got to the cinema it had been cancelled, as only half the
print had arrived from Melbourne. As replacement they were
showing a new 35mm print of
"The Killing" along with the other scheduled film, "Two Lane
Blacktop". It still would've been a great double but as I had
decided to break my budget by getting a new AFI membership
only because of "Cockfighter" & the fact that I had
watched "The Killing" on video for about the 6th time only a
few weeks ago I decided to save my money. "Cockfighter" will
be screened later in the year. The best laid plans,
etc.
