I had originally read the grifters when I was on a Thompson
reading binge and I read it fast. I have re-read it, this
time slowly and am amazed at how good it was. This is just my
opinion of course but I think this may very well be
Thompson's best, his masterpiece. It was just that damn
good!

Yes I like the book alot too and agree with your earlier post
it should probably be on the short list with the other four.
The movie is great and an excellent adaption of the book
which is so rare, but your right not better than the
book.
