Well, then perhaps he already doesn't like me. I've noted
here and elsewhere that while I admire his cause, his Burke
novels strike me as goofy ultraviolet (even more than
ultraviolent) DOC SAVAGE-ish exercises. I like some of his
other work a Lot better. TM

From the interviews I've read with
AV, he's pretty touchy about any suggestion that his work
lacks literary brilliance.
