I happened to catch an episode as an adult and was surprised
that it held up.
A lot of shows from my childhood don't. But at a half
hour per episode, there wasn't a lot of room for extraneous
bullshit.
I've got a couple of the books, read one: DIG A DEAD DOLL. In
tone, I'd compare it to say, a Shell Scott. They seem to be
pretty much a goof. Each chapter is an excuse for Honey to
get her blouse removed.
Are they hardboiled? Yeah, right.
Anne Francis was a helluva lot hotter than Reese Weatherspoon
will ever be. If the same folks who did her flick LEGALLY
BLONDE are involved, I don't expect a great detective series
here.
