RARA-AVIS: Hip-Hop Noir

Today's Washington Post contained a very positive review of "The Dying Ground: A Hip-Hop Noir Novel" by Michelle D. Tramble. It is described as
"a streetwise murder mystery about young people involved in the drug trade in Oakland, Calif." It is set in 1989. It sounds good. Has anyone here read it? Do you concur?
