Has anyone else read Stephen King's The Dark Half in which a
novelist with a hard-boiled alter ego suddenly has the alter
ego come to life. As I remember there are plenty of
deliberate hints as to the Richard Stark like qualities of
the alter ego. To further confuse matters the alter ego's
books concern a Parker like character who King calls Alex
Machine - which is the name of the lead character in Shane
Stevens' Dead City (one of King's favourite novels)
BTW anyone know what happened to Shane Stevens?
