I saw the preview for Get Carter today. I was not impressed.
It seems to have a lot of car chases, fistfights and
smart-ass one-liners. In other words, it looks like a typical
Sylvester Stallone movie. Seems he's backing off what could
have been his breakthrough in Copland.
The movie is clearly not even atempting to achieve Michael
Caine's understated cool in the original. By the way, Caine
is also in this one, looks like he plays Carter's boss in
London. Mickey Rourke is also in it and, surprise, surprise,
he and Stallone have to fight; I'm guessing it's the
climactic scene.
