I do not remember if it was mentioned here, but there is a
web site collecting scannings of the cover illustrations of
Mystery, Western and SF books published by Ace
paperbacks(from the fifties onwards).
The section with ACE DOUBLE covers for mysteries is pretty
well documented and harbor novels by a lot of HB authors (
and some oddities!).
