Let me add that Frank Kane was also a pioneering
environmentalists: he recycled. Neither Henry nor Frank were
literary powerhouses, but I much prefer Henry. In the sixties
he got into the "spicy" business, introducing very frank
sexual scenes into his crime stories. Despite his use of the
thesaurus, he was not a sophisticated author, but his books
are quite readable and reasonably entertaining. I like to
think of him as one of the Hard Workers.
