Steven Womack's Harry James Denton series is one of the best takes on the PI tradition and has long deserved hardcover publication.

Also, according to the bibliography in Don Herron's "Willeford," THE WOMAN CHASER was first published as a Newsstand Library (Chicago) PBO in April, 1960. PB
