RARA-AVIS: Jameson: a slight return

Tribe asked a lttle while back about Fred's crit of Chandler. The two articles I've come across deal with Chandler in a general sense. The most recent is in the aforemetioned "Shades of Noir" anthology called
'The Synoptic Chandler'. Fred's conceptual density is a little daunting but worth persevering with. The other has appeared in various criticism but originally was in the
'Southern REview' 6:3 (1970): 624-50. titled simply 'On Raymond Chandler'. It is more accessible rhetorically and the cultural logic of late Chandlerism imho is well worth dipping into. Later... Jim S.
