I wonder what RARA-AVIANS of 2050
will be "bothered by" in the hard boiled stuff of today. It's
funny how many of us are uncomfortable with the racism and
sexism we see in the old stuff, even though we glide blithely
through all the killing without a blink or a qualm. I guess
each generation wants to see "their" hard boiled fiction fit
the accepted social views of the then current time. Ah, but
murder, murder goes on forever.
