Nope, Martin's back inside, in a prison in Arizona, I believe. At least that's what I heard from one of his acquaintances.

And I agree with your judgment about his novels. Quite good, especially The Dishwasher. His collected prison journalism, Committing Journalism, is worth checking out as well.

Last time I checked Dannie Martin was still free. The Dishwasher and In the Hat are both fine novels.

I think I plug Martin here about every second month.
