Yes ... lots: seduction of an underage girl (Mildred) by Burt Pierce; bootlegging (which how Lucy Gessler and her husband got by in the Depression); extortion/blackmail (by Veda); embezzlement (by Mildred); a lot of other business shenanigans, and maybe even a rape (of Mildred by Monty, in Chapter 12).
