RARA-AVIS: Anyone know works of Norman Bogner?

My daughter is interviewing writers to teach at a writers workshop in Provence this summer. Knowing I am a noir and hard-boiled fan, she passed the name of Norman Bogner to me. I have never heard of him, but Amazon certainly has good reviews of his book, To Die in Provence. I would appreciate it if anyone could give me some input.
