My problem with Trunk Music was, well, (not to SPOIL this for
anyone) the sudden shift in the direction of the case after
300 pages. In a shorter book, maybe I would have been fine
with that, but it just took so long.....

No to serial murders. One of those "American fascinations"
that bore me to death (and I'm American). Characters matter.
I want smaller scale stories to be the future of crime
writing. Enough with conspiricies and serial killers!
